2004-2005 ~ Head Football coach and offensive coordinator –
College of DuPage. Hired to rejuvenate a program that only had 25 players in August The team had been winless. We recruited 47 athletes to be very competitive. The second year ranked high in all offensive statistics.
1999- 2004 ~ Head Football Coach-Offensive Coordinator Wayne State – MITurned a 0-11 program into one of the strongest offensive teams in the conference and top in the nation in many categories. In three years averaged over 400 yards per game and 28 points per game.  Led the conference in offense in 2000. This was accomplished with no dormitories or food service and 7 less scholarships than the rest of the conference .
1998-1999 Head Football Coach-Off .Coordinator McPherson College-KS Lead the conference and  ranked in the top 10 in the nation in many offensive categories.  Averaged 481 yds per game in two seasons and 31 points per game.  Went 7-3 with a team that was the ONLY school in the conference that gave no financial aid for football. We finished  29th in the country.
1994- 1998 Assistant Coach – Detroit Lions-Worked for three years, coaching special  teams where we broke the all time Kick off return scoring record with 5 touchdowns on returns ! Coached the tight ends and assistant offensive line on the most productive offense in the NFC and NFL for two seasons!
1993 Head Football Coach Iowa Wesleyan College Was able to turn a 1-10 team into one that finished 7th in the nation and was nominated for National Coach of the year. Offense avg 350 + per game.
1982-1992 ~ Assistant Coach- Chicago Bears– 12td’s on returns-#1 0ff in NFCSpent 11 seasons coaching special teams – tight ends – asst off. lineWe were ranked the top special teams in the NFL in 1984, 1985 and 1988.I was also assigned duties, administrative assistant, intermediate passing game-play action and goal line offense! Won the ’86 Super Bowl

coached the Tight Ends as well as Special teams developing young tight ends Jim Thornton, Cap Boso, Keith Jennings, James Coley, Pat Dunsmore, and helped maintain a great career of Emery Morehead.

At Detroit

worked with David Sloan a draft pick that went to the pro bowl , while he worked under offensive coordinator Tom Moore

As a college head coach and offensive coordinator was able to average 498 yards per game and 29.1 per game in 6 years.

Offensive Line: assistant in NFL 5 years and Hired as O line coach in CFL

Also had been College Defensive coordinator twice in top 13 in the nation
